What an amazing service to recognize the faith, hard work, dedication and determination of our small but mighty congregation. Sunday's Dedication Service was the gathering of old and new friends, beautiful decorations, amazing music and such inspirational and moving words spoken by so many.
THANK YOU to the entire Dedication Committee for making this service so wonderful. The music, the food, the decorations, the art, the memorabilia, the videos, the prayers & blessings, and all the help with setup and cleanup - everything was just perfect. What a beautiful way to dedicate our church to the mission of God’s kindom in this community! You are all amazing! The list of people that made today so special is extensive and to keep from missing anyone I would like to make mention of two people.
Sherian Spencer, UCV Council Moderator volunteered early last year to head up the Dedication Committee. With dates set and then postponed, because of Covid-19, she stayed the course. She created several 'sub-committees' to take charge of all the different aspects of the service, from decorating, to food, to hospitality, etc
Lynne Bradley, UCV Worship Chair/Music Director
created such a complete and memorable special worship service. Getting so many of our former pastors to participate either via recording or in person was quite a feat indeed. And to have long-time members attending either in person or via Zoom...what a treat.
You both, along with all your formidable assistants did an amazing job and this special service will indeed be one of the most wonderful memories of UCV!!! Thank You!!!
