March is Womens's Month
During the month of March, UCV will be having a PROFESSIONAL CLOTHING DRIVE. Please drop off gently used professional clothing that will be donated to under priviledged individuals who are seeking employment. Don't forget shoes because that is important part of dressing for success. Clothing items can be dropped off at the Masonic Lodge on Sundays or at The Community House during the week.
March 6 is Ash Wednesday and marks the beginning of Lent, which is the 40 days before Easter. The Lent Season remembers the 40 days that Jesus was challenged and sacrificed in the desert. Traditionally people reflect this season by giving up something but this season our pastor is encouraging people to pay it forward, be kind and helpful, be of service, and encouragement. Smile more, say thank you, or offer words of encouragement.
MARCH 10, 2019-New book group starts, 1130-1 pm at The Masonic Lodge (second and fourth Sundays). Our first book will be "Waking Up White and Finding Myself in the Story of Race" by Debby Irving. Used copies of the book can be purchased on Amazon for $10 and the Kindle version was only $9. This group will meet in the Green Dragon room. During the first meeting, we will read the first chapter together.
