This month begins our new youth group meeting schedule. We will only have youth group twice a month to allow us to spend more time in services with our church family.  Youth Group meetings will be held on the 11th and 18th. We will meet the entire hour 10-11.

March 18th Youth Group 10-11 am
March 25th Palm Sunday service 10am
March 29th Maundy Thursday / Sedir supper at The Community House time TBD
March 30th we will remember Good Friday by serving at the food pantry at Murrieta United Methodist Church 7:30-9:30. I'm also looking for a Good Friday service we can attend in the afternoon. Stay tuned.
Have a blessed Lenten season!

Youth Sunday is almost here! On February 11th the youth will be leading all aspects of worship. We will practice our music during youth group on 2/4. Anyone who wants to practice their speaking part is invited to stay after the service as well.
Following the Youth Sunday service on 2/11, the youth group will host a potluck lunch to celebrate our church community. Be thinking about which of your favorite dishes you would like to share with everyone! We will need entrees, salads, sides and desserts.
The season of Lent starts with Ash Wednesday on February 14th. Lent is the season of reflection and repentance leading up to the remembrance of Jesus' crucifixion on Good Friday and His glorious resurrection on Easter. We will be exploring the meaning of repentance - turning - this Lenten season' We will discuss how we can walk alongside Jesus on this journey to the cross and beyond to new life. Youth Group will meet every Sunday this month. We will join our church family in service on March 4th.
Looking forward to Youth Sunday!!!

The Youth Group will celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, January 15th, by volunteering at Save the Animals Today - an animal rescue at 31530 Scott Road in Winchester. We will meet at 10 am and should wrap up by 2 pm

This month we will be looking at issues of hunger and homelessness. Jesus was very clear that we should feed the hungry and give to the poor. Yet too often even faithful Christians miss the message. How can we better follow Jesus' call?
As part of our commitment to service, we will once again be collecting items. This time we are partnering with Holly Rolfe and the Homeless Outreach Team. Their needs are quite different than the shelter. Toiletries are still welcomed, but we also need toilet paper, non-alcohol hand sanitizer, lip balm, baby wipes, socks  (men's fit most feet), and even underwear. These items will be used to make a connection between the HOT counselor and the perspective client who can benefit from social services.
Youth Group will meet every Sunday in November from 10-11 am EXCEPT for November 12th. On that Sunday, we will join our church family in worship to listen to Archie Aitcheson speak in honor of Veterans Day.
Don't miss these special events in November:
Nov. 5:  Shelter kit assembly during youth group time. We will also be writing notes to the women.
