CHILDREN - The past 4 years we have used the Seasons of the Spirit program. It is lectionary based and very compatible with our progressive theology. Each lesson includes a scripture passage and wide selection of follow-up activities that reinforce the key ideas of the scripture. The lessons are engaging, relevant and easy to prepare for and teach.
"Welcome Bags" were donated for children of visitors. In these bags are crayons, pictures, puzzles, books, stickers, etc and they are located on the Visitor's Table. To help children understand worship and the importance of giving back, paper banks are available for the children so they can participate in the offering by bringing in coins to place in the plate.
Children of all ages are welcome at service and babies/toddlers are often cared for by youth or other adults.
ADULT - A new book club has kicked off!
We meet the 2nd and 4th Sundays following worship. The first book we are studying is Waking Up White, and Finding Myself in the Story of Race, by Debby Irving. Good used copies can be found on Amazon for $10. This group meets from 11:30-1 pm.
